September 2014Personal Statement
Golf has taught me the value of dedication and perseverance. Not only did I practice until I made the #1 spot on the high school girls' golf team, but I am also able to volunteer at our local country club working with younger children to pursue their goals.
Since my freshman year I have consistently reduced my scores and handicap. My goal is to continue this consistent trend until I can card rounds under 80 on a regular basis.
I work very hard on my academics as well. I consistently carry multiple AP courses and am a member of the national honor society. Pending re-election of our State Senator, I hope to be selected into the Page program this coming spring.
All of these traits have strengthened my mind and character and would prepare me to become a well rounded golfer and person.
