October 2023Personal Statement
Hi, My name is Connie Jarm, I grew up and played competitive age group golf in New Zealand, also represented my district during Interprovincial events for the last few years.
From the day my father bought me a set of new golf clubs, I wanted to play golf seriously, I am passionate about the sport, I have a good work ethic, and practice every week, play collegiate golf and further my education is my ultimate goal.
Having moved back to California recently and joined the high school golf league, I am totally in love with the team environment, my scores are consistently been on par with the course and I have made many new friends through golf. In addition, I have joined the South California Junior PGA Tour and finished regularly in the top 5.
Extra-curricular groups like Symphonic Band, Tahoroto Orchestra, and Flute Choir were part of my school activities back in New Zealand. I was also a member of the school's enviro group where we plant trees, learning about the earth and how to protect the natural environment around us.
I am motivated and always have a positive mindset, I believe with my skills and my commitment I can make contributions to the team and to this wonderful game of golf.
