Since the age of 2 years old, nothing has been more important to me than golf. Playing varsity golf all throughout high school has been a good experience. I only say good, because golf is not a very supported sport at my school. Every year, I have had a different coach, we had little to no funding for greens fees, and poor transportation to get to practice. Because of this, I play and practice on my own. I play with people like my dad, who was a professional golfer for years, and he is the reason why I play the game
Now, a little bit about me. I am 5' 7" , weighing 121 lbs. I'm a left handed person, who plays right handed golf from watching my dad play golf when I was a kid. I attend College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA. My biggest accomplishment so far, is that I tied for 2nd individually at the Morro Bay tournament in 2012 that consisted of 15 teams, shooting my all time low scores, 76 and 74. This year was very exciting because our team won 1st place as well. Golf is my life, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I have had many dreams throughout my life. Some have been achieved, some have failed, and some have slowly just disappeared. One dream that has not disappeared is that one day, I will be a tour player on the LPGA. That is something I have dreamt of doing all my life. Playing college golf at a university is something I want to do more than anything in the world because, I believe that doing so would put me that much closer to achieving my life-long dream. When I do choose which college I will be attending, it will most definitely have a strong golf program, with girls who are also just as determined. I am not going to a college that does not have a girls golf team. I want to become a better golfer, and a better person, and I hope that during these next couple months, I will find a college that can help me do just that.
My goal for college is to attend a school with a great golf program, be a starter on the team, sign up with some great classes in the media department, or communications/journalism department, get a scholarship, and most of all, be able to play golf everyday. I hope I can be on a team where I can make a difference, be with girls who are determined, but also enjoy the sport as well. These are my requirements as to what college I would like to attend. I hope you will consider me on becoming an addition to your team, as well as your school! Thank you.
