Amanda Milner '22 Recruiting Profile

I have always valued standing out and making sure I am unlike those around me. Whether this is dealing with behavior, peer pressure, grades, or sports, being unique is important to me. I believe I have displayed this with becoming the number two player on my competitive golf team, as a freshman that had only started golf two months previous. This was because of my willingness to practice six days a week and I saw the potential in myself.  Through the years, my dad always told me, "all you control is your effort and attitude." This mentality has become strongly embedded to my everyday lifestyle-something I think many lack.  I expect only the best from myself; my personal standards are incredibly high. 

I have completed freshman, sophomore, and junior years with a 4.1 GPA or better, along with 23 college credits. I dedicate myself to not only working to become succesful in golf, but also creating the most difficult and rigourous academic schedule possible.  I strive to ensure I am well-rounded and impressive in all areas.  Achieving this, however, requires great time management and personal responsibilty-two aspects I am strong in. 

I look forward to my future years of education and athletics. I seek to attend school at a place that will allow me to grow in my strong values and contiune my ambitions. Working toward a future has always been significant to me. Whether I know exactly what it looks like or not, diligence and commitment are actively present.
