My goals for college is to complete all classes necessary to pursue my career. I want to plan my way to a better future for myself and those around me. I am coachable , I have good attitude, I’m a team player. I won’t let my failures get to me, I am a hard worker and have a good mindset. What makes me different is I learn to balance my personal life, sports life and school time. Though there are many times when I feel lazy and don’t want to practice or do anything at all. I end up practicing and doing whatever it is I have to do because I know in my mind that it would be the choice I wouldn’t regret doing. I might not be the smartest person, or the best at my game but i still push myself to become better than I was before. When I play golf I’m not just competing to win and beat the other players, I compete to improve my skills as I play and to learn from them. Failing and making mistakes is the process of learning, there is no way you could be any better if you don’t practice and put the time and effort into what you’re accomplishing. I don’t expect myself to get better after a day or two, but I do know I can improve if I commit and put all my time into it. Like they say “ if at first you don’t succeed try, try again” I don’t blame myself for my mistakes, I am actually thankful that I now know what I need help on and how to work better with it. The saying “practice makes perfect” is correct but the expectation for me seems too high to reach. Instead I like to think of perfect as better. Even with just a little improvement, I’m still satisfied that I at least got better, and that I can move forward improving myself. Your scores and test answers shouldn’t bring you down, you’re not at your limit. Just remember that you are just getting started and that there is a long and bright path waiting for you. I’m still a high schooler and I still have struggles maintaining both golf, school, and the role of an older sister. I still have a long way ahead of me I just began my first steps at the start of my career. Right now I know that nothing can change that fact that what I’m striving for will lead me to where I want to be at most.
