Hafsa Khan '15 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coach, My name is Hafsa Khan and I am from Fremont, CA. I am very interested in playing collegiate golf at your University and applying for an athletic scholarship. There is no girls' team at Washington High School, I have been competing on the boys' team for the last 3 years. I compete for the third or fourth spot on my team. Currently my handicap is 13.2 and improving. I also made the North Coast Sectional last year. My strengths on the golf course are my drives and irons. I am working on my short game and course management. Please check out my swing video. In the past year my knowledge of the game and experience has grown and established me as a team leader. I love to compete and strive for perfection in golf as well as in school. As a student I have a 3.4 GPA and I scored a 1466 on my SAT. I am taking extra classes to improve my score. I think athleticism can always be improved. I like to train when I am not at golf practice. I work on golf exercises that help bring power to my swing as well as weights to improve my overall strength. I also work on my endurance with cardio circuit training and crossfit. I took up yoga to increase my precise muscle movements, flexibility and focus. I also helped create the "Tone It Up Club" at our school, which is a club where students can get together and workout.
