My name is Rylee O’Connell and I’ve been playing golf for as long as I can remember. I am a sophomore and graduating in the class of 2025 baby. Argonaut Highschool’s golf team has taught me tremendous amounts of honesty, integrity, and work ethic. With these traits we managed to be the first team in our school’s history to win our league as well as the section championship. I played in the number 3 spot this season, but once the weather gets warmer I’ll be working extensively to move up the ladder. Also next golf season I am hoping to fill a team captain position as I was selected to be a team captain for tennis. This past golf season my main goal was averaging 45 strokes per 9 holes, and I may have not achieved that every day, but the amount of improvement in my game compared to last season was extremely noticeable and vital to winning our section championship. Using my resources is what I believe truly helped my game improve; I began seeing a new private coach and have interacted with a sport’s psychologist to help me mentally on the course. Essentially, if you take anything from this message make it this: my name is Rylee O’Connell, I am graduating in the class of 2025, and you want me in your golf program. I am a hardworking, honest, and positive individual on and off the course, and I could help any golf program improve. Thank you for reading this far and considering me for your golf team!
