8-03-22 Update to Personal Statement: I have been competing in golf and swimming for many years and have been named the MVP several years in a row for both sports at my High School and have competed at CIF for both also. I am entering into my senior year and have decided to pursue swimming for college. I still intend to play golf, but it will be more for recreation than competition.
Past Personal Statement
Character: I enjoy sports (swimming and golf) and being around my teammates and having fun...they're some of my best friends. I try as hard as I can at competitions to do my best so I don't let my teammates and Coaches down...however, that is easier for swimming than golf !
Athletics: I am competitive in swimming and golf and work very hard at each. I love both of them, but they are way different. Golf has taught me to accept the bad results even though I gave it my best shot, stay positive, focus and have fun. Those lessons have carried over to my swimming and made me a stronger more consistent swimmer.
Academics: Currently I've made all A's this year. I love science and aspire to study dermatology and get my M.D. and start my own practice.
