My desire in college is to play collegiate golf while gaining a deeper understanding of a career in medicine. I am curious to learn more about the human body systems and genetics as I interact with other people and understand their experiences and ideas, which will further develop my communication and interpersonal skills. I hope to become a future pediatrician because it gives me a great satisfaction knowing that I can furnish the care that helps people, specifically underprivileged youth, recover from their illness or injury in order for them to live a more happy and comfortable life. I am a responsible, dedicated, and goal-oriented individual that can take criticism as a learning tool. To this day, I continue to work hard because I know that is what it takes to be successful. Throughout my many years of playing golf, I have learned to balance academics and extracurricular activities while remaining focused on my priorities. In doing so, I use the concept of a goal ladder to help me become more productive as it creates a momentum for me to strive and persevere for completion. I've maintained an average of a 3.8 GPA in my three years of playing high school golf while volunteering at multiple programs including The First Tee of Silicon Valley and homeless shelters as well as serve as a secretary and president for Art for Foster Care and Golf Club at Evergreen Valley High School.
