Hi, My name is Khameryn Utu and am in the class of 2019. I'm currently attending Mater Dei High school, located in Santa Ana, CA. I started playing golf at the age of 9, but didn't play competitively until I was 13years old. Things that I have learned about myself playing this sport is that it takes more than the swing of a golf club to get where you want to be, it takes confidence, a strong mentality, and humbleness to achieve what you want. Golf is my getaway from school, homework, and everything else.
My academic goals for high school is to graduate with honors, receive a 4.0, and to leave high school with a BANG. On the other hand, my goals for college are much higher. I would like to attend a college that best fits me and one that's not far from my parents. I'm really outgoing and very adventurous, I play multiple sports, but mainly focus on golf. My parents influenced me to be who I am today, without them and the help of God by my side, I wouldn't be the golfer I am now. All the pep talks and late night practices, push me to strive for better and to never settle for less. Thank you for taking your time to read this. Best of wishes and God Bless.
