Although I am born and raised on the west coast, I am eager to attend a school on the east coast as I believe it will be a great experience for me to be away from home and to explore my individual growth as a student and athlete.
I am very dedicated to my academics. I am an ASB Senator (student government), secretary of "Operation Be Kind," I participate in many volunteer events around my community, and I have a 4.3 GPA. Being involved in many extracurriculars, on top of AP and honors classes requires a lot of hard work on and off the course, but golf has provided a form of escapism for me to break away from the everyday worries of being a high-achieving student. I am very competitive, and through golf, I am able to exert some of the ambition and determination I have inside me.
Some personal characteristics are that I am coachable, I never give up and I always give my best effort. I am very attentive to my coaches and I am always looking to improve my game, both physically and mentally. I make it a point to keep a positive mindset and to encourage my teammates. I played softball growing up so when I entered the world of golf it was a new environment due to the independence of the sport, but playing on a team definitely helped me become a better teammate for high school golf.
Some collegiate goals of mine are to be involved in clubs that pertain to some passions of mine, such as the environment, and to continue to improve and excel in my golf game. I also want to create lasting friendships with my teammates, partake in rigorous classes that challenge myself and classes that widen my knowledge so I can become the most successful version of myself.
