Ivy Kim '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, my name is Ivy Kim. I am a sophomore in Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. I started golf when I was around 7 years old and my passion for tournaments grew when I was around 12 years old. When I just started, I had a hard time comprehending the different swings and clubs I needed to know about, but that did not stop me. I worked hard and have been told by my coaches I am a fast learner and easy to teach. My coaches and my family supported me every step of the way. With them, I was confident enough to start competitive golf. In all of my tournaments, I never gave up even if it was not my day, and I was able to push through knowing I tried my best. If I wasn’t playing in a tournament, I would be at the range improving my weakness. When entering Notre Dame, I got on the varsity golf team and played in the CIF team when I was a sophomore. Playing golf as a team was a different experience, but I enjoyed it. I hope I can continue to play for a team and grow my golf knowledge even after high school.
