I was first introduced to golf at the age of 10 years old when my dad took me to the 2010 US OPEN at Pebble Beach. I instantly fell in love with the game of golf. I started playing golf competitively at the age of 12. My family and I relocated from Northern California to Southern California during high school. Due to the move I had to face challenges that not all student athletes have to go through. I had to adjust to a new school, play courses I was unfamiliar with, and meet a new golf team. This experience taught me to adapt to new environments quickly, be mentally tough, and have better study habits to meet the challenges of a more demanding school. My sophomore year my coach decided to put me in the number one spot for the Southwestern League Finals and I was able to move on to CIF. When the high school golf season is over I continue to play in tournaments such as Future's golf and VJGA to improve my swing year round. When I'm not playing golf I go to church, help the community, and work on my academics. Academics don’t come easy for me so I have to work that much harder, whether it be tutoring, taking Saturday school or studying on the weekends. An upcoming goal of mine would be to receive a golf scholarship and to be able to play throughout my college years. Why I would be a good candidate for a college team would be because challenges motivate me to do better , I'm all about team, and I have a passion for the game of golf.
