When I was around 3 years old, the only thing we had at home on the television were three channels: a racing channel, a children's program, and the golf channel. Whenever the PGA program comes on, I would sit in front of the TV and become engrossed with the male golf professional, especially with Tiger Woods. That's how I started becoming interested in golf. Tiger Woods then became my life long role model, even now, seeing him as a source of my motivation. I officially started playing when I turned exactly six, although I wish I could of played when I was five, and I learned how to play with my first private coach, Kenneth Shiba, at Pacific Palms Resorts. My goals in the future is to play college golf as well as earning my degrees in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. What set me apart from other players is that I am extremely competitive, never giving up until the round is over. Also, no matter what strange situation I am in while playing a tournament, I am always able to get out of the tight spot, saving my scores from going any higher. Currently, I am playing at Walnut High School in the Varsity Golf team, making the Varsity player ever since freshman year, as well as participating in the CIF Championship during my first year in high school. As an amateur junior golfer, I often play in Future Champions Golf, LA County, LA City, and sometimes other tournaments, such as Joanne Winters Silver Belle, Golfweek's Invitational and AJGA. My current Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings is 400 out of 2585. (Top 15% of the field) I am really interested in playing as a collegiate player, once I have graduated from high school. Thank you for taking your time to read this and I hope to hear from you soon.
