Shae Maiorana '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Shae Maiorana, and I am a Junior at Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I have been playing golf for several years and want to continue playing in college. I have a 3.9 GPA, am a member of National Honors Society, and recently received my academic letter for the 2023 school year.

I have played for the Mountain Vista High School girls varsity golf team since my freshman year. The Mountain Vista varsity golf team finished our season winning Regionals for the second year in a row. This year I shot a 74 at Regionals, taking first individually. At State, we placed 7th as a team. My high school season scoring average was 73, ranking me 11th in the state of Colorado and finishing First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State.

This summer I am competing in several of the PGA Colorado Section Junior Golf and American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournaments. I am also working with my swing coach as well as my sports psychologist to improve my game to perform my best. 

Playing golf has made me realize that I absolutely love the game because it drives me to be a self-motivated athlete but also to have the opportunity to contribute to the team's success. This year I thrived on the spirit of competition and camaraderie a golf team creates. I have a strong passion for golf and continuing to play as I advance my academic career.
