The reason why I started to play competitive golf was because of how much fun I had while playing, and I discovered that I really enjoyed tournament golf. I like the challenge, I enjoy the focus, and I have met so many great girls because of tournaments. When deciding what high school I wanted to go to, I wanted to attend a school where I could play golf. I go to a boarding school, and it was really important for me to find a strong community. I found many strong communities, but the most prominent one was my golf team. I have had such a good experience on this team, which is why I want to pursue golf in college. I have helped younger players feel this same warm community by welcoming them to the team and serving as a role model for them. Athletically, I have always found value in being on a team or playing a sport, even if it is not at the highest level. I play JV Field Hockey and JV Squash, which have been really fun for me and improved my athleticism.
