My name is Grace Codd, and currently I am a rising senior at Trumbull High School. I have been playing golf since I was seven years old, and it has been one of the most important parts of my life for the past ten years. Golf has taught me the importance of working hard, believing in yourself, persevering through challenges, relying on your teammates, and dreaming big.
For the first four years of my golf career, I participated in various clinics and programs at my home course, Tashua Knolls. I played in different developmental leagues and clinics, including the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf program and PGA Jr. Leauge. Additionally, I was one of the 2023 13 National eLeader Board of Directors for the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf Program. About six years ago, I started to take golf more seriously, playing competitively in various tournaments around Connecticut and New York. I have continued to do this, along with playing for my high school team. I love being part of my high school team, as I get to share my love of golf with all my teammates, along with working together in order to achieve success. I want to play on a college team that is built on working together to reach our personal and team goals, while also being in a competitive environment to bring my golf game to the next level.
Along with this golf team environment, I am looking for a school that is academically rigorous. I take Honors and AP courses in many different areas of study, and in college, wish to pursue Biology on the Pre-Med track.
In closing, I am looking for a college that will give me the opportunity to work with a collaborative team, and positive environment, along with a school that can provide me with a challenging education.
Thank you for your time, and your consideration.
Grace Codd
