My goals and aspirations for college include finding a balance between academics and sports. I am definitely interested in pursuing golf in college and feel that I could be an asset to a competitive college team. I am a positive, hard-working, and sociable teammate and my biggest strength is bringing a group of individuals together to form a cohesive unit. As captain of my high school team, I routinely communicated with my coach and co-captain to organize team bonding activities outside of the school program. Our school athletic programs practice and foster family values by partnering upperclassmen and varsity players as "sisters" to the new players. In this, I have established and continued friendships with peers from many age levels.
Academically, I have chosen multiple courses that require rigorous effort and time. Managing my schoolwork while working over 20 hours a week at a local bagel shop has taught me numerous life lessons in balancing my social, academic, and athletic schedules.
After having worked with my coaches and playing in various tournaments this past summer, I feel as though I have attained a deeper passion for the game. My ongoing dedication to developing my golf skills both mentally and physically has brought me to a desire to explore options that will assist me in furthering my potential.
