Hi, My name is Sarah Wicks and I'm a Junior at Plant High School in Tampa. Before I was a competitive golfer, I was a competitive gymnast.
From the age of 6, I was in the JO level gymnastics track that required 4 hours a day, 4 days a week with competitions on the weekends. At the age of 7, I ranked #1 in the VAULT at States. My team consistently placed in the top 3 at States throughout my Gymnastics career and I completed through level 6.
After 8th grade, I switched from gymnastics to golf. I have only been playing golf competitively for three years. My AJGA ranking is 1,211. My Junior Golf Scoreboard ranking is 2383. My latest tournament was the Sugar Hill FJT. Score: 75. My scores continue to improve because of my hard work.
I am motivated both academically and athletically. I’m a good candidate for teams because I am very positive and uplifting for everyone. I work extremely hard, and golf everyday. I also keep up with a difficult academic schedule taking all honors and AP classes.
To all the coaches who are reading this, thank you for reading. I will work very hard for your team.
