Hello, I am an African-American teenager who first started playing golf at the age of six as an extra after school activity. I grew up Miami Gardens, Miami where it was not common for young black girls to play the game of golf. It was seen as a boring sport that nobody watched. As I grew older, I learned to love the game and help build my character in the game of golf.
I started to compete competitively in middle school as I joined my middle school team allowing me to take my first steps into competitive golfing. I use golf as a stepping stone in my life to see the world and all the opportunities it has to offer to women golfers.
