I am a very competitive person and I like to set goals so I can see my improvement. Currently I have a scoring goal to break 80 this spring. My personal low is 83. My coach and I believe that we can shave three strokes by working on my 100 yds and in game. Chipping is a huge part of that and it's also one part of the game I have worked on throughout this off-season in our indoor facility. Chipping and putting too because that is also an area I can get better at.
One thing I think that differentiates me from other girls I have golfed against is my distance. On average I hit my drives 250 yds. Most the girls I play against are 230 and less. My coach also has me doing a lot of training in mindfulness. We do exercises on patience, positive mental attitude and meditation. I use meditation to get myself "in the zone" then practice mindfulness to keep myself in the zone.
I'm very excited to play golf in college and I look forward to contributing and competing on a good team.
