Madison Bley '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Madi Bley and I will be in the 2021 graduating class at Normal West H.S. Although I am only a sophomore, I am determined to play college golf in a few years, and I want to pursue a career in the golf industry.

I played the #2 varsity spot my freshman year in High School and was the #1 player my sophomore year, receiving honors such as Captain, MVP, Big 12 Conference Team, All Conference Team, Intercity Top 12 and sectional qualifier as an individual in Illinois both years.

Last summer I was second place in the Peoria Junior Open with an 86. I won the Lake of the Woods Open by play-off with a score of 81. I was the champion of the Bloomington Normal Junior City Tournament (girls age 13-18) with an 89 and was awarded with Big 12 Academic Honor Roll. My current CDGA handicap is 10.6 (….but stay tuned).

One important thing I want you to know about me is that I only started playing golf two and a half years ago. My first tournament in 8^th grade was the IESA regional where I recorded a 136!

Yet in these past 2 years I have improved my score by more than 50 strokes and will continue to develop my skills.  With the hard work I am putting into my game, I plan to be scoring in the 70’s this summer. I am so committed to golf that I play it nearly every day, year-round. In the winter, I practice at an indoor facility with a professional Golf Channel Coach, and travel to warmer climates to golf, such as Florida and Arizona.

I am interested in any division level of college golf.  Important things to me are my faith, smaller class sizes, a sense of community, and location.  I can’t wait to see where my passion takes me.

I will be playing on The Prep Tour (www.preptour.com for results) this summer and at lease 6 nationally ranked events in Illinois.
