Hi! My name is Megan Lapp, and I'm currently a Sophmore at Fishers High School in Indiana. I've been playing golf since I was seven and competitively for almost 5 years now. I grew up playing many different sports at all kinds of different levels. From travel Softball to rec gymnastics, and then eventually chose that Golf was the sport I loved the most and wanted to continue to pursue. I love putting in extra work outside of team organized practices because there is always something that you can improve, that's what I love about this sport. I love that golf is nothing like any other competitive sport because the atmosphere is so different. In a golf match, you get to compete and do what you love while meeting people from different schools and making new friends. I always look forward to tournaments because playing with someone new is an opportunity for the start of a friendship.
Not only am I a hard worker but I also won't stop until I feel like something's perfect. Which can be difficult at times when on the golf course but it's worth it. Small things like not leaving practice until I've made 10 putts in a row, or hit 5 different targets consecutively is what helps me to play my best. I believe that determination is what helps to build the best athletes, and that's what I strive to do every time I step foot on a course.
