Kennedy Easton '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kennedy Easton and I am a 5'9" Senior at Henryville High School in Henryville, Indiana (Class of 2018). I am active in many clubs at my school and I am the Vice President of my class. Some of my interests include traveling and meeting new people. I am a member of both Varsity basketball team, and the Varsity Golf team. Sports have always been an important part of my life because I have always been involved. I've played softball and basketball for several years, but in 2014 I was introduced to golf. It did not take long for me to realize that this was a game that I needed, a game that could teach me so much about myself. In it's first season, my golf team at Henryville was in a learning year. My team competed at our Sectional finals where we placed 5th out of 9 teams in 2014. I was awarded the Low Average Award for the season from my golf coach. I continued to work on my game during the off season and it has improved. I continued to play golf, my team and I won several matches during the 2015 season and I also received many medalist honors. My team carded a third place finish at our Sectional tournament in 2015 and we advanced to Regionals. During this past season in 2016 I've received many medalist honors and my team and I won a lot more matches. Rounding up our season at sectional we placed second, taking us to Regionals. I was also mentioned in the First-team All Conference as the only junior.  These are accomplishments that I'm very proud of. As I continue to work to improve my golf game, I am focused on taking my golf career to the collegiate level. I will craft my skills, and learn the game so that I will be more competitive. I am looking forward to what my future holds and I'm excited to get started.
