Mckayla Tallman '19 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Mckayla Tallman. I attend Saint Theodore Guerin Catholic High School located in Noblesville, Indiana and am part of the 2019 graduating class. I am an honor student as well as a part of the National Honor Society. My academics are important to me and my goal in college is to pursue a medical degree. My best tournament score so far was a 71 this past summer at White Deer Run in Illinois. 

    I picked up golf when I was around seven years old, through summer camps. I became more dedicated to golf during junior high and have been playing serious ever since. I have been on the Varsity team since my freshman year. I am a dedicated hard working athlete who enjoys competition and working very hard. I have a positive mental attitude on and off the course, I show great leadership, and was named the captain of the varsity team this past season. I am very coachable and I take constructive criticism very well and strive to fix those mistakes. I am a powerful swinger and currently I am driving 260 yards. I am learning how to be smarter inside of a hundred yards of the green. My most recent accomplishment are 2016 Lawrence Central High School Girls Golf Invitational 1st Place Medalist, 2016 Team 1st - Circle City Conference Champions - Placed 2nd, 2016 Named to Circle City All Conference Team,  and 2017 Team 1st - Circle City Conference Champions.

    I am a great addition to a team because I bring a great positive attitude inside and outside the practices. Also, I am a coachable athlete who loves learning and improving my game. I love to motivate my teammates and help them out with anything they need.  My freshman and sophomore year I was awarded the St. Theodore Guerin Athletic Award Recipient (positive mental attitude, leadership, positive integration to the values of Guerin Catholic). I did competitive gymnastics for ten years at DeVeaus School of Gymnastics, I learned how to be fully dedicated to a sport, where we practiced every week year round. Time management skills were essential to maintain my high academic goals.
