I knew when I was younger that I thoroughly enjoyed playing golf as a way to keep active among my many sports, golf to me is a sport where your skills drastically improve with the more effort and dedication you put into it. I learned this about 3 years ago at the age of 13 when I realized golf was something I wanted to pursue in the future. My passion for golf grew larger once I discovered the potential I had as a female golfer and that’s when I decided this is what I want to do. Being a student athlete has been a dream of mine not only in high school but it is something I want to carry over into my college career because you get a different experience then everyone else. Being a multisport athlete has taught me the value of leadership, commitment, sacrifice, sportsmanship and time management which are all skills needed when being part of a team.
Being a strong academic student has always been a priority to me and maintaining a high average is something I plan on carrying into my college career. In college I plan on taking a Health Sciences program at a school that I can balance both my academics and athletics allowing me to pursue both at the highest level I can. A goal I have for my academics in college is to be on the Dean's List and maintain a grade point average that will allow me to pursue my career goal of becoming a Physical Therapist.
