Personal Statement
I believe I will make a positive contribution to the roster for next season with the intention of securing a regular starting position on the team. I have lots of experience playing in teams as I have also played both Gaelic Games and Field hockey all though my school years in Ireland. I am honest and trustworthy and make friends easily,I am competitive on the field and have a good sense of humour off the field. I work hard at both my academics and golf and enjoy both.
The highlights of my golf journey in 2023 has been my selection to play for the Ireland U18 team in the R&A Boys & Girls Home Internationals v Wales, Scotland & England, at Lindrick Golf Club, Sheffield in the UK. I have also played for both the Leinster Womens and the Leinster U18 Girls golf teams, winning the U18 girls national interprovincial championship.
I have won the girls U18 Order of Merit in Ireland for 2023 and I have had 3 2nd place finishes in the interprovincial U18 championships in Ireland this year. I am a key member of the senior cup team, in Co Louth Golf Club, www.colouthgolfclub.com leading the team to the All-Ireland finals in September. My swing coach is Shane O’Grady (Coach to both Lauren Walsh and Leona Maguire).
I have achieved 8 As and 2 Bs in my Junior Certificate examination in Ireland and will take exams in 6 higher level subjects for my Leaving Certificate in 2024. I am particularly interested in joining a program to progress both my academic and golfing career.
