Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Madison Ash and I am a grade 12 student at Glenwood House College in George, South Africa.
I first became interested in golf when I was 7 years old. My dad would take me with when he played and I decided to try it out. I immediately loved the game and it came naturally to me.
By playing golf I have learned a lot and one of the main things I have learnt is patience. Patience is something you need on the golf course especially if you’re having a bad round. Golf has also taught me a lot about how I must handle myself when I’m playing with other people. You can have huge amounts of talent to skill to play the game, but at the end of the day you also need to be able to play the mind game.
I love playing golf. I enjoy the competitive aspect of it but also the social aspect. It’s a sport I can play with my family and friends and it’s also a way to meet new people.
I am a confident and focused person. I am practical, good at making decisions and I’m not afraid to be the center of attention. I love to try and master skills and I like handling a pressure-packed moment.
I am a hard worker, enjoy learning new things and I always try to improve where I can.
I hope this helped you in getting to know me better!
Madison
