Personal Statement

You have to love a sport to practice it by yourself. There are not many girls playing competitive golf in Panama. But for me, playing sports is a very big part of my life. My first golf lesson was over ten years ago when I was only 5 years old and I have not stopped since. I love competing, that is why I love sports. I have been a midfielder for my high school girl’s soccer team since I was 9 years old, and also played for the under 14 basquetball team. But golf is my passion and my goal is to be a part of a competitive college golf team. Getting a great education in an American college while playing golf has to be one of the best experiences of your life, that is why I am hopeful I would be given that opportunity beginning 2023.
