Personal Statement
Thank you for reading my personal statement, I want to first start off by saying that golf is my ultimate passion. Whether I am playing or practicing, I constantly apply a positive, hardworking attitude that is only matched by my determination for exceptional grades. For over five years I have been diligently working with a swing coach. Through my determination and hard work my greatest strength on the golf course is my ball striking, I hit it far and I am always looking to gain speed and distance! My current focus for improvement would be my short game, which I am consistently seeing positive changes. I practice daily, I work on yardages to get them dialed down and do many tests to see the improvements that I have made. I have been majorly influenced to play golf by my brother and other family members, they have always pushed me to do my best and to never give up when things get hard. I would like to think my brother had inspired me to golf, he is much older than me and he played a majorly competitive sport as well. Golf was the only thing we could do together and it brought me great joy to go out and play with my brother and my dad.
There have been many learning experiences through golf, the most important one that I have experienced was the power of your mind. Golf is an extremely mental sport. It has not only helped me improve my golf game but also my academics. I plan to continue my status as an honour roll student and my goal is to go to medical school to become an anesthesiologist.
