Every since I could remember I have been playing some sort of sport. My grandpa gave me a golf club as soon as I was old enough to walk. When I was younger I didn't know how much I would come to love the sport. I played softball up until I was 11, where I decided I wasn't happy playing softball and wanted to give golf a go. Ever since I decided to stop playing softball and play golf instead, my parents have had to drag me off of the course. Golf is my number 1 passion and I work hard day n and day out to try and distance myself from other golfers and athletes. I believe that the amount of work that you put in is the results you are going to get. If you don't put in any effort, then you are not going to see results. If you put in the time, effort, and work, you are going to see the results that you want to see.
I want to go to a school that is going to provide me with what I want academically and for golf. My academics have always come first and they always will, that is something that my parents instilled in me from the first day that I started Kindergarten. I like to push myself so that I can stand out from other student-athletes. Being a student-athlete is not something that comes easily to me. I work on it day in and day out, even if I am not in season, I'm always working on it. When you play golf in high school you miss quite a bit of school, and you have to take it upon yourself and be responsible to keep your grades up and get the work done on time with NO excuses.
I am looking for a family-like feel in a college. I want to go to a school that is going to provide me with what I need in my academic life, social life, and my athletic life. I want a school that is going to prepare me for my life after college but also help me live in the now. I want to go to a school that is going to provide me with lessons that I will use for the rest of my life, as well as friendships that will last a lifetime.
I am working on consistently shooting in the 70s from 5600+ yards to help better myself for playing at the collegiate level. I would like to major in history and minor in political science and international relations/government. By studying these I want to go to law-school after I get my undergraduate because I would really love to become a lawyer.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes. I come from a pretty athletic family so sports have been pretty much all I know. I also volunteer for silver cord hours through my school.
