My first season of playing golf was Spring 2021. I missed my freshmen year of golf due to COVID-19. Although it was my first season, I received the 2021 Hempstead Women’s JV Golf Most Dedicated award. I also received the Distinguished in Academic Achievement award from Iowa Girls’ High School Athletic Union.
This summer I attended several golf camps. One of the camps were the Bunker Hill Junior Golf Program. During this camp several teammates and I had the opportunity to work on improving our overall golf game. Another camp was the Walt Disney World Golf’s Junior Camps, which was held in Orlando, Florida. In the Disney golf camp, I helped lead my team to win the overall preference award. Individually, I won the putting competition.
I have been working with Hempstead coaches and teammates to improve my golf skills and to help my team prepare for the State Championship. Academically, my current GPA is 3.54. My class rank is 101 out of 403 students. Some of my interests are singing different genres of music, learning to play guitar and ukulele, helping with Special Olympics, and participating in musicals at my school. I will be competing in All-State Choir for the second time.
One of my goals is to play golf in a college where I can help my team reach its objectives. Another goal is to be competitive and academically successful.
