I'm a Junior at Washburn Rural High School (Class 6A). I am a member of the 2013 6A State Champion team at Washburn Rural. I'm a 3 year varsity player, going to state my freshman, sophomore and junior years. The summer before my freshman year I was given the choice between volleyball and golf, I decided to play golf and it was the best decision of my life up to this point. I'm in love with the game of golf and look forward to the opportunities that it can bring me. I would love to play golf in college if the opportunity comes. I currently have a 6.4 handicap and an 81.1 tournament average. I really started playing competitive golf my freshman year, and learn something about the game everyday and I look forward to continuing to learn. I am extremely competitive and enjoy any kind of competition. I continue to improve my tournament scoring each year. As a freshman my avg tournament score was 95, as a sophomore it was 86 and as a Junior it was 81. I plan to play many tournaments this spring and summer and will post that schedule here soon. I'm part of YoungLife, a Christian organization that brings kids my age closer to God. I can't wait to see what's in store for me in the future!
Girls golf season occurs in the fall in Kansas. I am currently into my Senior season. My team has qualified for the 6A State Championship which occurs Monday, October 20th at Topeka Country Club. We were Regional champions, League champion, City champions and remain undefeated. Individually I was the City Champion this year and League runner-up with a 75.
