In 2017, I was part of the LHSAA State Championship team. Our team won a repeat LHSAA Championship in 2018. On April 29th I shot -2 and on April 30th I shot +2 (shooting even par for the LHSAA State Championship). I shot the lowest score of every girl from both divisions (both public and private) which earned me an individual state title.
In 2018 on May 1st of 2018 I shot a +5 two day total to lead my team to a repeat High School State Championship. I was also awarded individual third place.
Recent quick highlights:
I won the AJGA Greystone Tourney on April 8th, 2019
I went to a 5 hole tie-breaker on March 3 at the Legends Junior Tour Spring Invitational in Texas. I finished in 2nd place.
Then my 2018-2019 high school golf average was a 69. My best tourney was a 66 score.
I am gifted and was able to graduate a year early so I am NOW a 2019 Valedictorian 4.0 graduate!! I have decided to forego my senior year for golf.
In 2016 I made the transition from an elite travel softball starter/power hitter to the golf course. My very first golf lesson was on February 22, 2016(prior to my first golf lesson I did participate in a few junior golf tournaments to get the feel of it while still playing softball). Early on as a child(around four years old) I tagged along with my grandfather to the local golf course where my swing would get attention. Golf became a recreational thing. Over the years, I began to realize it was time to pursue a golf career. The moment of realization was participating in my elite travel softball team's golf tournament fundraiser in the fall of 2015, and I realized golf was what I wanted my focus to be on. I am now strictly a golfer.
On May 2, 2017 I helped lead my team to our 1st Louisiana High School State Championship!! I was also selected (1 of 8 golfers) to play for the Louisiana Tri-State Team for 2017 & 2018. We compete against the best from Arkansas and Mississippi during the summer in Ryder Cup format.
In April of 2018 I played in the Peggy Kirk Bell Masters Tournament at Greenville, NC and captured a second place finish. This second place finish has allowed me to qualify as a 2018 Optimist International Competitor. The Optimist International tournament was held at the end of July 2018 at the PGA Resort in Palm Springs, FL.
I was the 2017 Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (University of Louisville Midwest Regional) 3rd place finisher(shot a 76 on the last day of competition).
In August of 2017 I won the LWGA(Louisiana Women's Golf Association) 4-ball with my partner.
On August 19th I found out that I had been chosen to represent Louisiana/Texas/Mississippi/Alabama as 1 of the 2 female golfers to compete for the Hurricane Cup in Sea Island, GA(Thanksgiving Week).
Lastly in 2017, I also qualified to compete in the Amelia Lewis National Championship Invitational (Dec 2nd -3rd) at Champions Gate in Florida. For the 2017 Hurricane Junior Golf Tour I finished overall 65th place out of 1,091 (14-18 year old girls).
Through Playing golf I have learned the importance of work ethic, and the refinement of a golfer's presentation on and off the course. My academic goals for high school and college are to maintain my 4.0 GPA. My unique characteristics are my maturity and honesty. I am a high school basketball/volleyball/softball/golf coach's daughter. I have grown up around sports and my understanding of athletics(both the good and the bad side that they offer) are way beyond other athletes my age because of my mother's career. I am also grounded in my faith, and I am a goal-orientated person.
