Qualifying for Michigan State Division 4 State Championships my sophomore and junior year has been the highlight of my high school career so far. I have had a golf club in my hands ever since I was three years old and my dad bet me ice cream that I couldn't hit the ball over a wall we had in our yard. After awhile my dad ran out of ice cream money and I feel in love with golf. My passion for golf is something I share with my dad and my two sisters. It's what we do together.
Thru playing golf I have learned a lot about myself. I have always been told by all of my many sport coaches that I am very coachable. I absorb what they say, listen well and practice the skills that they teach me. I have learned about myself that I need to focus on my love for the game of golf and know that I contribute to the good of the team. I have learned to focus on and know what I need to bring to each tournament to help further my team and myself. I grabbed the competitive edge and hung onto it. I am a team player and was nominated co-captain my junior and upcoming senior year as well. Academics are very important to me and I have worked hard to maintain a good GPA.
I am looking for a college that will be a good fit for me. I am outgoing and enjoy being on a team that has a great team bond. A unique quality that I possess is my strength in driving the ball. As a three sport athlete with 10 Varsity letters earned and two co-captain titles, I know that I have great work-ethic, leadership skills, people skills and academic drive to make an immediate impact on your team. I have what it takes to come to your school and be your athlete.
