At age 50, I am surely going to bring attention and age diversity to your program!  You will never find another female golfer that is more dedicated and driven to play.  I would consider it a privilege and a blessing to be lucky /good enough to get my education paid for AND get to play golf!!  I will NEVER complain of its too cold, wet, rainy, windy, hot, early, late. I find it a blessing/privilege to play golf for fun, let alone for competition!  I would certainly convey and share this contagious attitude with the other ladies on the team.  

Unfortunately I did not graduate High School in 2022.  There is not an option for 1991.  Yes, I am a 50 year old woman, that is going back to school , Fall 2024 to finish my Bachelor Degree in Nursing. I obtained my Associate Degree in Nursing from Wayne County Community College in Detroit, Mi.  I have been a Registered Nurse for 25 years.  I have worked in many areas of nursing from pediatrics emergency room , wound care to case management.  I started my own company, Rehab Innovations Case Management in April 2004.  I have had up to 30 employees and we continue to grow and assist the catastrophically injured population of Michigan.  In addition, I carry two different certifications.  CCM- Certified Case Manager as well as CNLCP- Certified Nurse Life Care Planner. I started my Life Care Planning company, Catastrophic Care Consulting in 2020, I am the only employee.  I work in this position as an Expert Witness, I create life care plans that costs a persons care from date of injury to death based on the CDC's life expectancy charts.  I also testify in legal proceedings. 

 I have been married to my husband Richard for 20 years.  We are members at Indianwood Country Club in Lake Orion , MI.  I have been playing golf competitively for about 10 years, I have won the Presidents Cup Match, numerous ladies tournaments, I have been on the winning Oxford Pro/Am tournament in Vegas (2022).  I have played Shadow Creek in Las Vegas 9 times, and would love to play it again.  My favorite trip was with my husband to Pebble Beach in a Charity Best Ball tournament, we played for the Ronald McDonald House of Idaho ( we purchased it at an auction online).  This charity was special to me as I had a disabled child, Kassie in 1994 and we spent a collective 4 years at Ronald McDonald Houses through out the country.  My husband and I won 6th place and $6,000 for the charity, which was so very special to me.

I donate my time to the Rehab Institute of Michigan Foundation serving on the board of directors since 2017.  I have also raised over $200,000.00 for the same foundation by getting sponsors for me competing in the foundations version of Dancing with Our Stars. 

I have recently completed Golf Digest's Course Evaluation Class and will start as a Golf Digest Course evaluator in May 2024. I like to think of myself as a female golfer advocate.  I find it off putting the way some clubs/courses treat women members as lesser than, and do not provide the same opportunities for competition or amenities and most courses are not the proper yardage for the average female recreational golfer.  

I enjoy teaching/introducing young girls the game of golf and will volunteer to continue to help those that want it. I absolutely love how many girls/women are taking up the game. 

 I know my handicap is a bit high as of today, it is dropping like a rock, rapidly! I am actively working with  golf pros,Bob Piercy and Scott Wickham on retainer  ( Golf Channel Academy/Inner Circle of Golf ). I will continue to work with Bob/Scott until I reach my goal of scratch golfer or beyond!  I am trending in the right direction .  

I have arranged for a Registered Nurse to take over my position at my company while I go back to school and play golf..  I am willing to consider going out of state. 

 In addition, I have the maturity both on course and off to share with the younger members of the team. I also am a successful business owner/Registered Nurse , I can offer real life advice on getting/keeping a job after graduation.  

I have always dreamed of playing a college sport, however, I was not tall enough nor good enough for Volleyball, and I lacked the strength and skill for softball. I did not take up golf until I was  31 yrs old, my family was not in a financial position to allow for it.  I was taught by my husband and that took me up to about the last 6 years when I started taking a few lessons here and there with Bob/Scott.  It was in October 2023 that I started on retainer with them, my handicap has dropped 6 points.

Finally, when I am not playing golf or at work, I have 4 Chihuahua's Bogey, Divot, Mulligan and Shank that I adore and spoil, I also enjoy ballroom dancing and sewing.
