My name is Maura Killips and I am a junior at Bridgman High school. I have played golf most of my life and have participated in my first year of high school golf this year. In my first year playing high school golf, I made varsity, and since there is no girl's golf team at our school I play on the boy's team. For a round of 9 holes, I average about 45 and continue to improve. It has always been my dream to play golf for college and I feel as if I would make a great addition to any golf team.
In my Junior year, I was accepted into NHS. I also do DECA and this year my partner and I moved onto state and moved onto internationals. My grades consist of A's and B's and I am a very hard-working student. In my future, I would like to either go into a law program or become an accountant. What makes me different from other recruits is that I come from a small town, meaning that I know everyone and they know me. This is why I would love to branch out and go to a college where everyone is new and I will be able to golf with people that I can learn things and connect with.
