December 2018Personal Statement
I began playing competitive golf my freshman year of high school. I have been fortunate to be a part of one of the top high school programs in Michigan. Playing with some of the top girls in the state has helped me improve my game over the past three years. I went from shooting a 116 in my very first tournament to earning 2nd team All County as well as placing 5th at regionals (out of 53 girls) with an 81 to help my team qualify for the state finals in 2018. We placed 5th at the 2018 MHSAA State Finals.
For the 2019 season, I have been selected as Team Captain and made all conference. My 18 hole average thus far is an 83 thru 10/1/19.
Distance is definitely one of my strengths as I can drive the ball about 250-270 yards. I also feel mental toughness is a strength as well.
I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work ethic and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As a dual sport athlete, I believe I have the athletic ability to excel my game even further and make an impact to your team.
