When I play golf, I feel so relaxed and at peace. I have such respect for the game and anyone who is out there playing it. I started golfing freshman year and ever since then I have had a tremendous love for the game. Every time I'm out on the course, I play with heart and determination to be the best golfer that I can be. My coaches both tell me that I have such a level head when it comes to playing golf, which is a great thing to have, as they both say. They also say that I am very coachable and a player that strives to get better and better each time I play. When I have a bad shot, I am not one of those golfers who stomp their club on the ground or let their emotions get the best of them. I would never even think of doing that because I know that that act is not respectful, plus it is telling the other players that she lets the game get to her too much. Over the years, I've had golf lessons pretty much once every week, and I know that they've helped a ton because I've seen results in my scoring. This year, my junior year, my lowest score that I have had playing 9 holes is a 38. My average on 9 holes is about 44.95 strokes. My personal best on 18 holes is 84 and I'm not quite sure on my average but I am assuming it's around 90 because that's what I have been getting on a lot of the 18 hole matches. I've also been on my school's Varsity golf team since Freshman year. I also went to State my sophomore year with my whole team, and again my junior year just as an individual qualifier. My sophomore year, I got Honorable Mention and my junior year, I made All-Conference. I am also a left-handed golfer, and I am a respectful person who loves playing golf and would like to potentially play it in college. I also love math so I would like to go to a school that has a great Accounting/financing program. In school, I strive extremely hard to get the best grades possibly for me. I am hard working and very polite, as my teachers say. Grade wise, I mostly get A's and a few B's here and there. The only C that I have received was in AP World History, which is not like me at all to get that low of a grade in a subject. It definitely challenged me and I work at hard as I could in that class, but at the end of the day, a C was the grade that I had received. That grade alone surely does not define all of my knowledge though. I get A's in almost every class, besides AP World of course. I always try my hardest to be the best golfer and student that I can be. I would like to go to a college where I can meet people like myself and to challenge my strengths on the course and in the classroom. Overall, I just want to make myself proud as well as my parents.Currently this summer, I am helping out at a summer camp for little kids and middle school students that want to learn how to golf. Over the three-day camp, we will teach them golf etiquette and the basics like how to hold the club and how to stand.
