January 2017Throughout high school I played three sports; volleyball, soccer, and golf. I have benefitted from playing multiple sports by learning different skills such as teamwork, cooperation, patience and self-motivation. I also learned the traits of leadership when my teams voted me captain (one year in soccer and two years in golf).
I only started playing golf as a sophomore, and the more I played, the more I enjoyed it. Over these past three years I have made huge improvements while just playing during the high school season with no outside coaching. My junior year, I was only two strokes away from qualifying for States, and my senior year I was only one stroke away.
Playing a sport in college is a big commitment but I look forward to it and the balance it will provide to my academics. I have the skills and potential to lower my scores, and with further coaching, I know that I can become a more consistent, competitive golfer.
While in school I am interested in studying finance and accounting. Business and math have always interested me. I look forward to improving myself and expanding my golfing career while obtaining a quality education.
