Callie Wilson '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Callie Wilson. The most distinct characteristics I possess are a bubbly personality and a contagious smile.  I thoroughly enjoy being around people whether it's my family, friends, classmates, coaches, or someone i just met, it doesn't take long for me to start cracking jokes and telling stories. I'm right handed, 5'6" and 125 pounds. Since I've been a freshman, I have been fortunate enough to participate on a successful golf team.  The past three years we have been conference and section champions, and we also received the all-state academic award one year. In addition to the team success, I placed fourth in the conference as a freshman, and placed first in my sophomore and junior seasons. Although, my greatest accomplishments include becoming the section champion my sophomore and junior and making the all-state team this last year. I believe my greatest assests to a team are optimism and humor, which is why I was nominated to be a captain my upcoming senior season. Growing up in Hermantown, I've fallen in love with the feel of a close knit community. Idealy, I'd like to stay within the surrounding states, although I'm not oppose to considering other opportunities if they were to come my way. Currently, my desired major is in accounting and business. My main athletic goals would be to be in the top 5 players of a team. I'm hopeful in that with the right amount of playing, practicing, and coaching I will be ready to be an active member on a college golf team.
