Playing golf has taught me many lessons about life. I started playing golf when I was 10, and I really didn’t realize how much I enjoyed it until I started taking lessons and noticed how much adrenaline I got when I had a good shot. I didn’t play for a few years, and I picked it back up in the summer of 2023. That summer golf taught me how to have a routine and that you needed to be dedicated if you wanted to be successful. I would get up each morning and go practice on the course. I had rediscovered how much love for the game I had. My freshman golf season had a lot of highs, and one of the biggest lessons that it taught me was not only did my swing need to be consistent, but so did my emotions. Golf is something that I genuinely love to do. I love the routine, the need for consistency, and how dedicated you need to be if you want to do well. I can’t wait to continue my journey golfing and see what lessons it teaches me next in the future.
