Personal Statement

Hey coaches, thanks for viewing my profile! To let you know a little something about me, I started golf my freshman year of high school and have not stopped working since. I am now going to be a senior and after three years of experience I have improved a ton. Freshman year I was consistent 100's. I swung up and played a little varsity that year but it wasn't until my sophomore year that I lettered and played for varsity the whole season. I was shooting around high 80's that year. Junior year was the same for playing for varsity. I went to state for the second time in a row and we ended up being State Runner ups. I averaged a consistent low 80's. Going into senior year I had two goals for myself. To consistently shoot in the 70's and to practice every single day. So far my summer has consisted of waking up, going to the course, working out, then going back to the course. I made a little early jump and have already started shooting in the mid 70's this summer. I have now changed my goal to be shooting consistent low 70's during season. I know anything is possible with work and based on my work ethic I know that I can make it possible. You won't meet many golfers that start shooting in the 70's three years after they first picked up a club, but that makes me unique. When I set a goal and my mind to something I finish it. I am definelty a leader and am in charge of summer league for my high school team, which is once a week I make tee times or practice schedules for the girls and we go out and play or practice for 2+ hours. I am all about not just bettering myself in the game of golf, but also my teammates. You can't win a team State Championship by yourself. This year and the next year I am working on being even par or under and I am around 1 year away, suspected, from being there. Though you never know with the game of golf, it could be better or it could be worse. That is why I ask you to follow my scores and progress, which I would appreciate very much. I know this was a lot to read but there is a lot to know about me, so give me a text or email, and I hope we can get to know each other!
