My name is Carolann Allen and I was the 2019-2020 team captain of my high school golf team as a sophomore and a regional qualifier. As a freshman, I earned a varsity spot, qualified for regionals, and rank second on my team. I have consistently placed in the top 10 in multiple tournaments for my high school conference this year. 29 times I have placed tenth or better in my pre-high school career, including a medal for fourth place as well as winning a junior golf tournament. I also had my first hole in one in the summer of 2019 during a tournament at the Las Vegas Country Club.
Outside of the golf season for high school, I have focused on improving my game. I work weekly with a tour professional and continue to practice daily. I also work three times a week with a physical trainer to improve my fitness, strength and stability.
As a student athlete, academics are of the utmost importance to me. I am currently ranked 9th in a class of 755 students. I am enrolled in mostly AP and Honors courses. I have also made the decision to graduate a year early so that I can pursue my dream of becoming a physician.
Thank you for taking the time to read my statement.
