What makes me a good candidate for your golf team is that I strive to do my best every year and I am always improving. I currently hold the #8 spot in my region and my golf score average for 18 holes and tournaments is 89 strokes. I do not play with a handicap. My drive is one of the things that I hold dear to my heart because it is something that gives me a thrill in the game. Being able to drive far and straight consistently has never been a problem for me. Every year on my high school golf team, we set individual goals for each other. Last year, my goal was to break 100, which I did early on in the season. This year my goal was to break 90, which was set at Las Vegas National Golf Course. Nevada Preps has listed me as one of the Top Five scores in the tournament. We have already been picked to play for both regionals and state.
Academic and lifestyle wise, I would be a fantastic candidate to be at your school. I have an unweighted GPA of 3.2/4.0 and am very quick to pick up new concepts with my academics. I am also graduating early as a junior this year! I am always very calm and collected, and easy to talk to. I am always open to doing community service. For example, I have worked in the Shriners Hospital for Children Open to help out the pros and their caddies with anything they may need.
