My love affair with golf began when I was a toddler. I would pull golf magazines from my father’s hands and run away with them. I begged him to take me with my pink Fisher Price clubs on the golf course. I started my career by playing mini golf and when I got a little older, I graduated to the practice facility of my golf club. With time and lots of practice, I was let out on the course. When I was 8 years old, I played in my first tournament. For many years, I played in tournaments with players that were my age but I appeared several years younger. Hence, through playing golf, I have learned to be resilient and stay calm in stressful situations. My basic golf strategy is to take each shot as it comes with an overarching goal of staying mentally even keeled throughout a round. I bring my competitive nature to school as well. I just started my junior year at Holmdel High School. I am currently taking an intensive academic program including Honors Pre-Calculus and Honors Spanish IV. I am also taking AP English (Literature and Composition) and AP US History. My current total high school GPA is 4.48 (4.0 scale).
When I am not working on my golf game or studying, I can be found reading, drawing, or listening to music. My tastes vary in both music and books. My musical staples include the Beatles, They Might be Giants, the West Side Story soundtrack, Billy Joel, the Beach Boys, Weird Al Yankovic, Dion and the Belmonts, and the Violent Femmes. My reading tastes vary between comic books / graphic novels to Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series. Basically, I am always searching for my next great read. I am fortunate to live near New York City and like attending Broadway musicals, Ranger Hockey games, and concerts in Madison Square Garden. Lastly, I have been fortunate to travel outside the USA to Bermuda, Scotland, St. Kitts and Nevis, the Netherlands, Spain, and Ireland.
I am confident I will be a great addition to your team. I am committed to performing well in the classroom and on the course. Furthermore, I may be an entertaining companion when traveling to tournaments.
