I have been on the varsity girls golf team since I was in the eighth grade, coming into my senior year I will be playing the one man for our team. Last year as a junior I won the New Mexico 4A State Championship by 13 strokes and I am currently working very hard to keep my state title this year as well. In May 2018, Judy Rankin invited me to play in the LPGA Pro-Am JTR Suitcase Fund in Frisco TX. I was the first girl that has ever been picked to play outside of Texas. It was truly an honor.
I feel like I am a good candidate for a Division I or II college because academics and golf are the two most important parts of my high school career. After school my time is dedicated to practicing and studying. When practicing I use a range of tees from the forward tee boxes to the tips to practice ranges with different clubs. My dedication to studying has helped me maintain a 4.2 GPA and am currently enrolled in all Advanced Placement classes so I can graduate with my Associates Degree in 2019.
I am looking for a school with a great Nursing program mostly in Texas but I am open to other schools if they are a good fit for me. I am looking forward to what this last season of high school golf holds for me.
