Personal Statement

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile!

I am a rising senior at Kellenberg Memorial HS located on Long Island, NY, and I have played on the Girls’ Varsity golf team since my freshman year of high school.

I was introduced to golf at a younger age, but grew up in a basketball family. During my younger years, I played basketball competitively on both AAU travel teams as well as for my school’s team until my sophomore year, when I decided to fully concentrate on playing golf.

As of writing this statement, my tournament 18-hole low round is 99, and my tournament front/back 9 low is 43. This past high school season, I tied only 3 matches and won all others, and I also qualified for and competed in the League individual tournament.

In the summer of 2022, I began playing in local tournaments for the first time, and my 1-day 18-hole tournament scoring average was 113. This year, I have begun to play more challenging courses and out-of-state 2-day tournaments after joining HJGT and AJGA.

I am athletic, competitive, very coachable, a team player, and hard working. I am committed to improving my golf game every day, and I know I have not even scratched the surface of my potential. I am working hard to lower my scores and develop a better mindset on the course. I want to make an immediate impact at the school I attend and want to be a contributing factor for the team I play for.

Academically, I am a focused student and often enjoy learning, and I have been able to manage my time well while balancing studying, sports, and several other extracurricular activities. I am in the Honors program in my school and have maintained a 4.0/4.0 GPA.

I am looking to play in a program that is committed to supporting their athletes academically and strives to improve their players.

I am confident that my best golf is ahead of me, and with the right program and coaching, I know my game will continue to improve tremendously.

Thank you for looking at my profile, and I look forward to continuing this recruiting journey!
