Alyssa Shawger Go...Personal Statement
I have been golfing since I was in 8th grade. Previously, my fall sport had been soccer, but my parents encouraged me to take up golfing. I did, and ended up loving it. I made varsity as a freshman, which really helped to spark my interest. In these past three years, I've had many positive experiences not only on the course but also with my teammates. My team has a great bond, and it is one of my favorite parts about golf. This past summer I really started to take golf seriously in hopes of continuing to golf at the college level. Along with golf, I have a passion for math and science. I work hard in school in order to have a chance at getting into a competitive major in one of these fields. I have high expectations for myself and am willing to do what it takes to achieve them.
