Hi! My name is Meghan Utterdyke. I'm a senior at Bishop Fenwick high school in Franklin Ohio. I currently have a 4.19 GPA and especially enjoy math and science classes in which I take honors level classes. I have a 31 on the ACT and a 1310 on the SAT. I started playing golf in 6th grade and am in my 4th year on the girls varsity team at Fenwick. I used to play volleyball as well but gave it up after my freshman year to focus on golf. I also compete on Fenwick's swim team in the winter. I compete in SOPGA and GolfWeek Jr. tournaments in the spring and summer.
My proudest golf moment were shooting an 83 at Districts at Pipestone to advance to States and then shooting an 87 and 78 at states to finish 20th out of 72 girls there. From this I was named the 2017 Division II athlete of the year for girls golf for the southwest Ohio district. I was also one of eight girls from Division I or II in the greater Cincinnati/N. Ky area to be nominated for girls golf athlete of the year for the 3rd annual Cincinnati Sports Awards. I also shot a personal best 77 at Yankee Trace this last summer in a SOPGA tournament.
I am very dedicated to maintaining high academic achievement as well as improving my golf game. My 18 hole average is an 83 but I truly feel that with the way I finished last season and the extra off season work I'm putting in now I will be shooing consistently in the low 80's or high 70's. My goal is to compete in golf at the college level and use that opportunity to further my education and attain a college degree.
